MHA Volunteer Opportunities
• Operation Santa – Each year we gather donations of Christmas gifts for consumers who live in residential, mental health facilities. It is a huge project, and we need your help to make an impact upon each consumer’s Christmas. In order to cover the group homes in Mobile and Baldwin counties, we need over 200 gifts. You can help by raising funds, buying gifts, soliciting donations, and preparing the gifts for delivery. It’s a great way to make a difference for those who are often overlooked throughout the year.
• MHA Board of Directors: If you can dedicate one year to the service of Mental Health America’s Board, we can use your talent and expertise. You may serve for two additional years if you so desire. As a Board Member, you share in the financial and policy responsibilities of the organization. To be nominated, you must be a member of the Association in good standing.
• Paws for Mental Health – The love and affection that an animal creates is truly amazing. Pet therapy can change a person’s attitude almost instantly Join us as we congregate in nursing facilities or in Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs. You’ll be glad you did!
